What you will do

An entry level member of Empact’s Engineering Team, our Electrical Distribution Analysts are joining a team that is instrumental in designing, configuring, and finalizing engineering solutions and deliverables for both overhead electric distribution facilities and joint use make-ready for various cooperatives utility clients and communication projects by acquiring field data to support the team.

‍Your key responsibilities

• Use 3D modeling software to generate electric distribution deliverables for both electrical distribution engineering projects and joint use, make-ready communication projects that includes, but is not limited to construction drawings, staking sheets, permits, concrete pole drilling guides, and other specifications
• Help assure that designed electrical facilities meet NEC, NESC, RUS, and Cooperative standards
• Develop an understanding of the client's culture, key people, and processes
• Work closely with the project team to ensure that projects are following specified internal engineering processes
• Increasingly and effectively manage a number of projects while maintaining work product quality, consistency, accuracy, reliability, and accountability
• Apply analysis to identify the best solution to a design problem and effectively communicate a course of action with the Engineering Team
• Assists with other special projects as needed

‍What you will bring

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years’ of prior experience with electrical distribution design or electric utility experience is required
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license
• Excellent attention to detail with agile interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively all levels of management and internal and external clients including the ability to maintain a harmonious working relationship with all clients and engineering team members
• An entrepreneurial spirit with an all-hands-on-deck mentality primed for rapid growth in the company
